Jaime Munguia to Face off against U.K.’s Jimmy Kelly June 11th in Cali

Middleweight Mexican Sensation Jaime Munguia (39-0, 31KOs) will square off against Britain’s Jimmy Kelly(26-2, 10KOs) on June 11th in a 12 round super middleweight bout at the Honda center in Anaheim, CA and will be presented live via DAZN.

Munguia, the fighting pride of Tijuana looks to better his resume with his 40th win. Munguia is ranked as one of the top middleweights in the world by all sanctioning bodies. In November of 2021 he pulled off a spectacular victory over veteran and tough contender “King” Gabe Rosado. Munguia followed that up with a KO victory in his hometown of Tijuana in February of 2022 against D’Mitrius “Big Meech” Ballard. Munguia is a former junior middleweight champion who defended his title five times against the likes of Liam “beeft Smith, Brandon “Bad Boy” Cook, Dennis Hogan, Takeshi Inoue and Patreick Allotey.

Kelly is a former world title challenger, and a former of the WBO intercontinental super welterweight title. Kelly is looking to rise the ranks with a win over the Mexican superstar Munguia. Ranked #4 in the middlewight division in the UK a win against Munguia would be a great win on his resume, elevating him ever so closer to the top spots in the division. Undefeated since 2019, Kelly looks to give Munguia his first loss and keep his win streak going. Kelly’s losses come by way of a decision loss against Dennis Hogan in 2018 and 2015 stoppage loss against fellow countryman Liam Smith, who at the time was undefeated.
