Terence Crawford (40-0, 31KOs) will be moving up to 154lbs to challenge the WBA champion, Israil Madrimov on Saturday August 3rd, at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. The fight card will be stacked with six great fights and will be presented live via ESPN+ starting at 6PM ET. Not only will Madrimov’s WBA title will be on the line but so will the WBO interim title.

Crawford is one of three male boxers who are two-division undisputed champions with the other men being Naoya Inoue and Oleksandr Usyk. Crawford is a rare breed who at first was a boogeyman no one wanted to fight. A high risk, low reward opposition. Crawford dominated 140lbs collecting all the belts in his conquering rampage before moving to 147lbs and snatching all the titles there. Now moving up to 154lbs will Crawford make Madrimov is first steppingstone to conquering a third division? Crawford is a slick, fast twitchy, switch-hitting monster. Tough as nails and fearless. ESPN has Crawford ranked has the number 2 pound for pound fighter, as well as the man sitting at the top of the welterweight division. Crawford has notable wins over David Avanesyan, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan, Jose Benevidez Jr, Jeff Horn, Viktor Postol, Kell Brook and Yuriorkis Gamboa. In his last outing, Crawford Stopped the one-time welterweight king Errol Spence Jr via 9th round TKO, dropping Spence once in round two and twice in round seven. Crawford picked apart and mangled the once thought untouchable monster Spence making lightwork of the former champion. Crawford always felt like he never got the respect he deserved, and he just keeps pushing forward, claiming belts and names.

Madrimov will be defending his WBA title which he acquired by defeating Magomed Kurbanov via fifth-round TKO back in March. Madrimov was an accomplished amateur fighter amassing almost 100 fights. Since turning pro in 2018, he has notable wins over Raphael Igbokwe and Michel Soro. Madrimov will be coming into this fight as the champion but will have a contender attitude. Madrimov knows what is on the line and a win like Crawford on his record will catapult him to the next level. Madrimov will be giving it his all come fight night setting up the night to be explosive!
