Berinchyck vs Keyshawn: Future Fate at Lightweight

Lightweight sensation Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8KOs) looks to snatch his first strap in his first title bout on February 14th when he takes on the WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk (19-0,9KOs). The tripleheader card will be presented live via TOPRANK on ESPN at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.

Davis has been making waves in the division. Davis ran through Gustavo Lemos to close out 2024 in which he stacked up 3 wins for the year. Davis was quoted, saying “This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for. Denys Berinchyk called me out, and I answered,” Davis said. “A new era in the lightweight division begins on February 14th. Be there in person or watch it live on ESPN because what I’m going to do must be seen to be believed.”

Berinchyk had a little bit of a tougher time in 2024 when he took the belt from Emanuel Navarette in a highly competitive match-up. Berinchyk’s amateur experience is similiar to davis’ and both fighters are skilled technicians which have the perfect makings for an entertaining, explosive and well-matched fight. Berinchyk was quoted saying, “I’m not going to make any big statements or shower my opponent with compliments,” Berinchyk said. “I’ll just say one thing: Don’t relax, dude! It won’t be an easy fight for you!” Both these fighters are climbing ever so closer to elite, and this fight will push the winner even closer to the top.

In the co-feature, Puerto Rican sensation, super welterweight prospect Xander Zayas (20-0, 12KOS) takes on Germany’s Slawa Spomer (20-0, 11KOs). Zayas barely lost a round, nearly shutting out three different fighters in 2024. Spomer although only fought 1 in 2024, he barreled through an undefeated Milan Prat. Zayas was quoted saying, “Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of making New York City my second home, and it fills me with pride to know that with a lot of effort and sacrifice, little by little, we have been receiving more and more love from my Puerto Ricans from ‘The Big Apple,’” Zayas said. “Fighting in front of my people at Madison Square Garden is always a great honor, and I can’t wait to give them a great night of boxing on February 14. I will show I am ready to challenge for a world title at 154 pounds. I will not back down!” Zayas has a HUGE following in NY and the Hulu Theater will be screaming his name as he makes his ring walk.

The show opener will put Vito Mielnicki Kr (20-1, 12KOs) to battle it out with Connor Coyle (21-0, 9KOs). This fight card will be electrifying so make sure to head down to the Hulu Theater or tune into ESPN and DO NOT miss out on the action!
