Adrien Broner (34-4-1, 24KOs) will make his debut on BLK Prime on February 25th at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Atlanta, Georgia and will be streaming live via BLK Prime PPV with the show starting at 5pm/ET. The first fight of three with his contract with BLK Prime After playing musical opponents with Ivan Redkach originally being his scheduled opponent who was then replaced by Hank Lundy. Lundy also was replaced and now Broner will be facing someone 10 years his junior when he squares off against Michael Williams Jr. (20-1, 13KOs). These two will clash in a 10 round welterweight bout.

Adrien Broner comes in with the experience. Broner has had 18 more fights and made his debut in 2008 as opposed to Williams Jr’s 2018 debut. Broner also has fought 247 rounds compared to Williams Jr’s 81. The age and size advantage go to Williams Jr. who is 10 years younger and also touts a 7 inch height advantage with a 5 inch reach advantage over Broner. Broner has beaten 2 of his last 5 opponents, losing to Mikey Garcia and Manny Pacquiao.

Williams Jr. has everything to gain and nothing to lose. I win against a former 4 division champion like Broner with the resume he has will definitely catapult Williams Jr. in the right direction towards championship level. Broner has slowed down and has been gun shy which has caused him to lose some fights many people felt he should have one due to being outworked. Broner has showed some maturity and has rededicated himself to the sport and will be looking to make a big statement come fight night.

Also on the card we have the sensational southpaw Tevin Farmer (30-5-1, 6KOs) who will go against Mickey Bey (23-3-1, 11KOs) in a 10 round bout in the lightweight division. Power advantage goes to Bey who touts a 48% KO ratio versus Farmer’s 20%. Farmer is 7 years younger at 32 years old versus the 39 year old Bey. Bey has a 3 inch height advantage and a 2 inch reach advantage over Farmer. Farmer does have a slick southpaw skillset similar to Pernell Whitaker which makes him nearly untouchable so Bey may not be able to take advantage with his height and reach. Farmer has the experience, fighting 115 more professional rounds than Bey and having 9 more fights on his resume as well.

Tune in on February 25h on BLK Prime and don’t miss out on this great promotion!
