Lopez vs Kambosos: Triller at Barclays

After several delays brought on by Lopez contracting Covid and various date changes the fight between unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (16-0, 12KOs) will put his IBF, WBA and WBO belts on the line against tough Australian, George Kambosos Jr (19-0, 10KOs). The fight will be presented live via Triller and will be filled with a night of fights, musical performances and a versuz battle on October 16th in Teofimo’s backyard of Brooklyn’s Barclays Starting at 8:00 PM/ET

Lopez last fought last October when he dethroned the lightweight tactical machine known as the matrix, Vasiliy Lomachenko taking his WBO/WBO and the vacant lineal championship while defending his IBF title. Lopez will come into this fight comfortable, as it will be a homecoming, fighting in his native Brooklyn. Lopez exhibits speed, power, and all around athleticism. A skilled young fighter that can put his opponent down at the blink of an eye or wear you down round by round. He looks to make short work of Kambosos.

George Kambosos is coming into this fight the bigger man. He is about an inch taller and has been pro for longer with 3 more fights than Lopez so he has a slight experience advantage. Kambosos is coming off a win against former title holder Lee Selby which was a 12 round IBF eliminator. Kambosos exhibits great conditioning keeping an aggressive pace into the later rounds and likes to work behind a good jab, fast hands and technical footwork. Will it be enough to dethrone younger, stronger, fast reacting Lopez?

Tune in on October 16th and don’t this fight! Two top undefeated lightweights fighting for supremacy and legacy. Paired with a night of musical performances and a versuz battle Triller looks to not disappoint.
