New Jersey Prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. To Face Nicholas DeLomba in Christmas Night Homecoming Fight

Welterweight rising prospect Vito Mielnicki Jr. (9-1, 6 KOs) will face Nicholas DeLomba (16-3, 5 KOs) in a 10-round match on Saturday, December 25 in a Christmas night showdown headlining FOX PBC and FOX Deportes broadcasts live from Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center. 

The fight will mark Mielnicki Jr.’s return to the Prudential Center after having headlined earlier in the year on July 31st in a bout where the prospect, 19, won via a second round TKO over late replacement Noah Kidd. The card will also feature undefeated middleweight Joey Spencer (13-0, 9 KOs) co-headlining against Mexico’s Limberth Ponce (18-4, 11 KOs) in an eight-rounder. The fight will also mark the return of the Linden, Michigan native to Newark, NJ, where Spencer, 21, last fought in a UD win against James Martin, also in the Mielnicki Jr. July card. 

Mielnicki Jr. holds a record of 2-0 when fighting in the home of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, with both wins coming via stoppage. The Roseland, NJ, native made his professional boxing debut at the venue on July 13, 2019 in a KO win over Tamarcus Smith.
