Brooklyn native Teofimo Lopez was sitting on top of the world after beating the one-time p4p king Vasyl Lomachenko for the IBF, WBA and WBO lightweight titles. Before that fight Teo knocked out the IBF champ at the time Richard Commey in an electrifying exchange in the second round. Teo also beat Diego Magdaleno via KO as well. Teo handed Masayoshi Nakatani his first loss after 18 fights. Teo was giving his first and only loss against George Kambosos Jr via a close and controversial split decision in which we would see Teo later admitted to the hospital due to some underlying heath issues involving his lungs. in 2022 after stopping Pedro Campa, Teo fought the Spanish, Sandor Martin who was (40-2). Teo was dropped in the second round in what seemed to be a flash knockdown but managed to pull a split-decision victory over Martin. The fight with Martin made people doubt if Teo was the same and maybe he lost a step. Teo’s next fight would take place 6 months later in 2023 against the WBO super lightweight champion Josh Taylor and the odds had Teo as the underdog. Teo moved up in weight and proved he still has what it takes to be king winning via unanimous decision against the bigger Taylor. Teo will be looking to show out has he is known to do against Jamaine Ortiz to continue his climb back up to elite.

Jamaine Ortiz moves back down to lightweight after a strong run at 135 where he comfortable beat Jamel Herring. Afterwards though he fell short against Vasily Lomachenko. After is one and only loss at the hands of Lomachenko, Ortiz went up against a 29-5-1 veteran Antonio Moran and beat him via unanimous decision. Ortiz knows that a win against Teo will bring his stock way up. Ortiz will be trying hard to stunt the superstar showman’s trajectory back to elite.

Also on the card as the co-main event we have Keyshawn Davis (10-0, 6KOs) who will battle it out with Puerto Rican veteran Jose Pedraza (29-5-1, 14KOs). This will be a true test for the hot prospect Keyshawn Davis. On the undercard we have former Mexican superstar Fernando Vargas’ son, Emiliano Vargas who is a hot prospect and a force to be reckoned with, a true champ in the making.

Tune in on February 8th or head down to the Las Vegas and don’t miss out on this action packed night of fights!
