Vargas vs Zepeda: The Rivalry Continues!

The rivalry continues as Puerto Rican Prospect Josue Vargas (19-1, 9KOs) keeps on the up has he goes up against Mexican contender Jose Zepeda (34-2, 1NC, 26KOs) on October 30th at the Hulu Theatre inside Madison Square Garden in New York City. The fight will be presented by Top Rank and streamed live via ESPN+ staring 10p.m ET/ 7p.m. PT.

Mexico and Puerto Rico have had a rivalry in boxing dating back years. This fight is another chapter in the continuing saga of Mexico vs Puerto Rico. Vargas was born in Aquadilla, Puerto rico and now resided in the Bronx, NY is a hot prospect who’s only loss came by way of a controversial disqualification. He is a southpaw with great potential and great ability. a Win against the veteran Mexican contender Zepeda will bump him up a few pegs. Vargas needs to come out, dominate and show that he is on the path where he belongs to be with the elite.

Zepeda is the veteran fighter with 37 fights in the bank who has shared the ring with the then-WBC world title holder Jose Ramirez and lost via a close majority decision.
