California’s Jose “Chon” Zepeda (35-2, 27KOs), the #1 ranked WBC super lightweight contender will duke it out with the #2 ranked and former world champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis(27-1, 23KOs). This battle will take place at ‘The War Grounds’, Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA and will be presented by MarvNation on FITE PPV for the WBC Super Lightweight World Championship. The telecast will begin on Saturday November 26th at 9 p.m ET.

Zepeda is a veteran who has beaten the likes of Jose Pedraza, Ivan Baranchyk and Hank Lundy. Zepeda also showed there is levels to the game when he took on hot Puerto Rican Prospect Josue Vargas and knocked him out in emphatic fashion within the first round of their outing. He has also shared the ring with Jose Ramirez in which he lost a close and controversial majority decision. Zepeda is a relentless southpaw with good boxing fundamentals. Zepeda is definitely a fighter to watch, fast paced and measured fierce Mexican warrior.

Prograis is 10 years in the game and the only blemish on his record comes from a majority decision loss against Josh Taylor during the World Boxing Super Serios Championship back in 2019. Prograis is a former WBA 140lb World Champion. Prograis won his last three fights by KO by stopping Tyrone McKenna in the 6th round in March of 2022, Ivan Redkach in the 6th round in April of 2021 and Juan Heraldez in the 3rd round. Prograis won his first title back in 2019 via 6th round KO of Kiryl Relikh who had the WBA 140lb title at the time.

Prograis is a slick boxer who looks to pick apart Zepeda. Zepeda will come and apply pressure and volume in true Mexican warrior style. This will definitely be an action-packed fight that can go either way

Also on the card we have Evelyn Bermudez (17-0-1, 6KOs) who will be defending her IBF and WBO 108lb titles against Yakasta Valle (29-2,9 KOs). Valle just unified the IBF and WBO belts at 105 and is moving up to challenge Bermudez. We also have Charles Conwell (17-0, 13KOs) will square off with Juan Carlos Abreu (25-6-1, 23KOs). This fight will be action packed as well. Bakhodir Jalolov (11-0, 11KOs) is a 6’7 Southpaw heavyweight who took gold at the Tokyo Olympics and will face Curtis Harper (14-8, 9KOs). Son of the great Fernando Vargas, the 26-year-old Fernando Vargas Jr. ( 6-0, 6KOs) will open the card when he goes against Alejandro Martinez (3-2-1, 2KOs).
