Errol ” The Truth” Spence Jr. (27-0, 21KOs) will put his WBC and IBF welterweight titles on the line when he faces off with WBA super champion Yordenis “54 Milagros” Ugas in a unifying match that will take place on April 16th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight will be presented live on Showtime PPV Via PBC with the main card staring at 8PM ET.

Spence will be fighting for the third time at the AT&T Stadium , fighting in his hometown of Texas. The 31 year old defeated both Mikey Garcia in 2019 and Danny Garcia in December of 2020 at his hometown venue. Spence has also has a notable wins over Kell Brook in which the fight ended via stoppage with Spence breaking Brook’s orbital bone, Chris Algieri, Lamont Peterson and Shawn Porter Spence hasn’t fought since 2020 when he defeated Danny Garcia. A fight was scheduled with legendary Manny Pacquiao in 2021 but had to pull out of the fight after undergoing eye surgery. Ugas replaced Spence on less than two weeks notice to retire Pacquiao, beating him by UD. Spence is a strong southpaw who packs a big punch who wears his opponents down to the body. Ugas will have his hands full come fight night if we see the Spence we are used to seeing but is he still the “Truth” after recovering from a horrific car crash in 2019 and coming off an almost 2 year lay off?

Ugas proved he is a hungry fighter. Popular belief was that Pacquiao was going to make light work of Ugas who pulled the decision upset to retaining the WBA super title from pacman which he obtained due to pacman’s vacated status of the belt due to inactivity. Ugas also has notable wins over Abel Ramos and Omar Figueroa. Ugas lost via close and controversial split decision against Shawn Porter.

Both these fighters will be coming out to prove who the best at 147 is with a lot on the line in this fight. Not only will they unify 3 of the 4 belts in the division but a win will put the new unified champ in line to fight the WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford, a fight that will deem that winner undisputed champ.

Also on the card as the co-feature we have Issac Cruz (22-2-1, 15KOs) looking to climb back up the ranks after facing defeat at the hands of Gervonta Davis in a highly competitive match. Cruz wiill take on Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-4, 18KOs) in a lightweight bout. Gamboa is a former unified featherweight champion who also tasted defeated at the hands of Gervonta Davis.

Jose Valenzuela (11-0, 7KOs) will face of against Francisco Vargas (27-3-2, 19KOs) which is also to be fought at lightweight. All three fights have the making for big drama in the ring.
