Living legend Manny Pacquiao is not fully done with boxing just yet. The former 8 division champion who has secured 12 major world titles in his storied career, Pacquiao will make his return to the ring to faceoff with former junior welterweight world champion Ruslan Provodnikov in a 10-round welterweight exhibition. The bout will be held on April 18th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas and will be presented by Indistry Media in association with Banner Promotions.
Both fighters built the career on being all action fighters, always bringing war and entertaining bouts! Provodnikov’s reputation of relentless pressure, fighting toe to toe with heavy exchanges that excite any crowd. Pacquiao also was a master at pressure high volume punches, footwork and dismantling opponents with endless barrages of attacks. This makes for a great matchup but for an exhibition which usually has guidelines in place that are different from these fighters styles such as controlled pace and unofficial boundaries of an exhibition. So we will see how this match plays out as an exhibition versus a sanctioned bout. These fighters have always been a big draw for their electrifying and entertaining styles so rest assured we will all be in for a great night of boxing, exhibition or not!
