Gary Russell Jr. vs Mark Magsayo Fight Coverage.

Sakaria Lucas vs  “King Tug”Tugstsogt Nyambayar: The first round was a feel out round with Lucas being the aggressor. In the second round king tug starts putting pressure good back and forth action. King tut continues fighting elusively, landing clean shots on the inside. The heat begins to simmer as they both begin increasing the punch output. King tut wins the third, landing the cleaner shots while evading big shots thrown by Lucas. Both fighters continue to fight for glory, with close rounds. Round 5 is a back and forth round with neither fighter truly getting the best of the other. King tug stalks in round 6, walking forward and putting pressure with Lucas trying to answer back but failing due to Nyambayar’s elusiveness. King tug get dropped but it was considered a slip in round 7 as the the fighters continue to bring the heat. More back and forth action going into round the 10th and final round. Both fighters battled to a split decision draw.

Subriel Matias vs. Petros Ananyan, junior welterweights: 1st round was a lot of heat back and forth but close with neither fighter getting the better of the other. the fighters continue to fight in a phone both, exchanging on the inside, refusing to clinch. Matias proves he has the better defense while fighting on the inside dishing out more punishment than he is taking. High punch volume, these tough competitors go head to head each round with neither one backing down, Matias continues to control the fight on the inside going into the 7th. A point was taking away from Matias in the 7th for a low blow but Matias still dominates the round. Ananyan goes down at the end of round 9 and at the ringside doctor’s discretions the fight was stopped. Matias wins via stoppage.

 Gary Russell Jr. vs. Mark Magsayo for WBC featherweight title: Hand speed on display with Gary Russell Jr. but Magsayo landed the bigger shots in the first round. The second round Russell Jr. shows his elusive nature. Magsayo buckles Gary Russell Jr. in the third as they go back and forth. The fight continues with back and forth action with Magsayo controlling the rounds. Mgsayo continues to dominate the fight going through the 10th. Gary Russell proves he’s champ still landing big shot under adversary but Magsayo is proving to be too much. Judges had it 114-114 Draw 115-113 for the new Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo. The new champion!
